Channel Inc. Background

BACKGROUND

Channel Inc. developed a Loan Origination Software service in 2005.  The company had over 1,000 mortgage broker users at one time and reached peak volume of ~1,500 mortgage transactions in June of 2008.  As is well known today, many, many mortgage brokers have closed their doors and banks have restricted their mortgage lending only to customers with near perfect credit, substantial income and existing equity in their homes.

 As a result, Channel Inc. has developed additional services for the Real Estate industry.  These include tools for Mortgage Servicers, Asset Managers, Realtors and the vendors they employ to manage a “distressed” property (or more commonly, a distressed loan).  In June of 2010 we had just over 1,200 real estate assets being managed in our system, totaling over $350M in value.
